De Europese Commissie financiert een breed onderzoek “Benchmarking Policies and initiatives in support of e-Learning for enterprises in Europe” dat e-learning in de bedrijfswereld in kaart probeert te brengen. In het bijzonder wordt gefocust op de manieren waarop Europese overheden de invoering van e-learning in de bedrijfswereld promoten.

Voor Vlaanderen werd mij gevraagd een overzicht te geven van bestaande overheidsinitiatieven, en ik doe graag beroep op het edubloggerspubliek… Ik zet hieronder - ter informatie - de meer gedetailleerde vraag van het MENON netwerk, die de studie uitvoert.

I am writing to you with regard to the study “Benchmarking Policies and initiatives in support of e-Learning for enterprises in Europe” supported by the European Commission – DG ENTERPRISE, which the Menon Network EEIG (www.menon.org) is currently developing.

In the framework of this Study, our research team is currently carrying out a country by country analysis of the most successful national/regional policies and stakeholders’(regional networks, chambers of commerce, etc) initiatives promoting the integration, adoption and meaningful use of e-Learning in enterprises (both large companies and SMEs).

We are interested in investigating not only on policies/initiatives specifically addressing e-learning in enterprises (quite rare in our understanding) but also broader policies (covering for instance Information Society or eGovernment or Education and Training – related aims) within which the issue of e-learning for enterprises is dealt.

We would be grateful if you could support us in the analysis by providing us with relevant web links/sources (possibly in English), information on what is going on in your country in this area and/or with references on significant policies and initiatives launched in the last 2-3 years.

We will then proceed with the in-depth analysis of the case(s) you have highlighted so to build a database on successful policies and initiatives promoting e-learning in enterprises in Europe, based on which a benchmarking system for e-Learning policies and initiatives addressed to European enterprises will be designed .
